How to built a cymatic device by yourself

First I started by buying a pair of 8 inches speakers, as those are the main source of sound of the device

As soon the pieces was lazer cut I had to glue them together in order ro create a small plastic plate to hold the liquid mix. After the glue dried I had to make sure that I had covered all the small holes between the rings in order not the liquid to be spilled as the speaker would reproduce the sonic frequencies.

I created the cymatic device with the liquid mixture. So I had to create a plate that was fitting well in the surface of the speaker. I
n order to be excactly as i wanted it, I had it designed and lazer cut for me. In case that a 3d printer is not availiable, any plastic plate close to the size of the speaker,would work really good.

In order to recreate the sonic frequencies I used a software called Pure Data. In this software I managed to create an oscilator with a volume slider that controls the amplification and one green slider that controls the frequency changing.
Every material has a different resonance frequency so in order to recreate the cymatic you have to find the different combinations of amplitude and frequency.

In order to connect the speaker with the computer we need an amplifier in order to amplify the signal.
